St. Joseph’s College has a Governing Body whose diverse areas of expertise and experience provides excellent strategic direction and support for the College.

Governing Board

​Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction

Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the College and its students and the efficient performance management of staff

Overseeing financial performance of the College, ensuring money is well spent.

Teaching and Learning, Curriculum, Safeguarding, SEND, data, Staff Training, Behaviour, Attendance, Link Governors, Relevant Policies

Pay Review Committee

• Review the quality of teaching and appraisal outcomes from the previous academic year.
• To consider teacher pay progressions
• Keep under review the Pay & Appraisal policy for all staff.
• To take account of the relevant documents when reviewing pay recommendations
• To hear representations from teachers regarding pay outcomes in the role of ‘Decision Maker’
• To appear as a ‘witness’ at appeal hearings to clarify earlier decisions should this prove necessary.

Co Headteacher Performance Management Panel

Covers the performance management of the Co Headteachers including setting objectives, review and pay recommendations

In addition, panels may be formed, as needed, for things such as admissions, staff disciplinary, pupil exclusions, complaints and so forth.
