Charity Work
In St. Joseph's College, our commitment to charitable giving is deeply rooted in Christ's teachings on compassion and service. As stated in Matthew 25:35-36,40, we are reminded of our duty to care for those in need:
"I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink...just as you
did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
Throughout the academic year, our school actively supports various charities, embodying the spirit of Christ's love and generosity. Among the charities we champion are CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) and The Trussell Trust.
CAFOD, a leading international development charity, works tirelessly to alleviate poverty and promote justice around the world. Through their initiatives, they empower communities to build a brighter future for themselves and future generations. To learn more about CAFOD and their impactful work, please visit: https://cafod.org.uk/.
Similarly, we partner with The Trussell Trust, an organization dedicated to combating hunger and food poverty in the UK. Through their network of food banks, they provide vital support to individuals and families facing financial hardship, offering them hope and assistance in their time of need. At St. Joseph's College, we believe in empowering our students to make a positive difference in the world. Through fundraising efforts and active participation in charitable endeavours, we instill in them a sense of responsibility and compassion, equipping them to be compassionate leaders and agents of change in their communities and beyond. Together, we strive to embody the spirit of Christ's love and service, making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
