Students and staff at St. Joseph’s College are celebrating excellent GCSE and A-Level results again this year.
There were strong A-Level performance in various subject departments. 30% of all A-Level grades were A*-B; whilst our Applied General courses achieved an average grade of Distinction +.
GCSE figures were also good. In particular we were delighted to see a 63% increase in the number of top Grade 9s achieved and a 100% increase in the number of A*s awarded.
The College remains above the male national average for the percentage of students securing a 4+ in the majority of subjects, and significantly above the male national average for many key performance measures.
There were also a number of particularly strong individual successes on the top grades of 7, 8 and 9. This included:
- Mohammed Malida, who achieved eight 9s and a A** in Further Maths;
- David Akanji, who achieved five 9s, four 8s, one 7 and an A;
- Tristan Pierce, who achieved four 9s, four 8s, and a 7;
- Sai Rishyanth Visinigiri, who achieved four 9s, three 8s, one 7 and two A*s;
We are delighted with the individual performance of many of our students. It is fantastic to see all the hard work, dedication and effort that pupils and staff put in day after day at St. Joseph’s reap such positive outcomes. It is great to see so many of our pupils return to join us in our flourishing sixth form.
