St Joseph’s College Celebrates Improvement in GCSE resultsSt Joseph’s college saw another successful day of results where students’ and staff celebrated another year of improved GCSE results. Parents supported students’ as they eagerly opened their results and there were faces of joy all round.
This year, St Joseph’s College saw an exceptional improvement in our progress to -0.02. This is subject to change when the national data is released in October. Our 4+ across all subjects has increased to 63.4%. In addition, our ALPs score has increased to a 5 this year and most subjects individual scores have shown improvement. The progress in all our buckets, including Maths and English have improved from last year, with maths progress showing an impressive +0.24. Our value added in Science, humanities and Languages have also improved from last year, with Science just under 0. Co-Headteacher, Mr G Mantillas was overjoyed by the students' achievements. He states, “The resilience and maturity of the year group has been particularly impressive. This demonstrates that the positive attitudes and dedication of our students, coupled with the hard work of our staff, had a significant impact on the results. Our community will build on this year’s successes, further improving academic standards across the college". Congratulations to Benicio Paredes Rojas who achieved x6 grade 9’s, one grade 8, x2 grade 7’s and a grade 6. Sebastian Rodriguez who achieved x4 grade 9’s, x3 grade 8’s, one grade 7’s and a grade 6. Kieran Tagoe who achieved one grade 9, x5 grade 8’s, x2 grade 7’s and a grade 5. Omar Lawang who achieved x6 grade 8’s, one grade 7, and x2 grade 6’s. Ayaan Atif who achieved x6 grade 8’s, one grade 7, a grade 6 and a grade 4. Igor Miszczyszyn who achieved a grade 9, x3 grade 8’s, x3 grade 7’s, and x3 grade 6’s. Sheik Abaan Abdool Ryman who achieved a grade 9, x2 grade 8’s, x4 grade 7’s, and x2 grade 6’s. David Mouanga who achieved x2 grade 9’s, a grade 8, a grade 7, x4 grade 6’s and a grade 5. In addition, Hasib Niazi, David Benson, Noel Sitsi, Kaydon Thomas, Ilyas Yiadom Boakye, Muhammad Daud, Othniel Attobrah, Tihomir Apostolov, Cris Lawrence Villeza all achieved a range of top grades. We want to praise all students’ who received results and know that they will be successful in which ever route they choose to pursue at post 16. We look forward to welcoming many of our students’ back to the 6 th form in September and look forward to watching and supporting them continue their academic journey. |
