St Joseph’s College is committed to developing well informed aspirational students who have the skills and attributes to succeed in the twenty-first century workplace.

We have a number of well-established partnerships to enable students to inspire and inform our students. The Peter Jones Academy offers students the chance to develop their business ideas into reality. The University of Sussex chose us as one of their partner schools and students visit from each year group have had the chance to visit, taste University life and enjoy workshops in different subjects. The Brokerage, Urban Synergy, Amazing Apprenticeships and the Association for BAME Engineers all provide opportunities for our students to visit professional work places and we work with a network of local employers to provide assemblies and one to one support. Year 11 have benefited from practice interviews with local employers to support with their transitions.

The Skills Builder Partnership: 
We are making sure that students build the skills they need to become independent, employable and manage their careers. As partners with Skills Builder we are teaching students eight essential skills from listening to aiming high and  develops their confidence in presentation and leadership. Skills Builder workshops are held in character lessons, tutor time and careers lessons. To find out more please click on the graphic below
