2024 A-Level Results
St Joseph’s College Celebrates Improvement in A Level Results
Students and staff at St Joseph’s College Sixth Form are celebrating a year of improved A-Level results, showcasing students’ hard work and dedication as they prepare to embark on the next exciting chapter of their academic journeys! Results Day 2024 was full of happy faces and students excitedly sharing their plans for their next steps.
This year, St Joseph’s College saw an impressive 12% increase in A* to A grades and 10% increase in A*- B grades, with a number of students achieving top grades across all their subjects, reflecting the hard work and dedication of both students and their teachers. BTEC results also pushed on to new heights of success, with even more students achieving Distinction grades across their chosen disciplines.
In addition to the strong academic results, St Joseph’s College Sixth Form has seen over 75% of students securing places at their first-choice universities, including a number of prestigious Russell Group institutions such as: Imperial College London, LSE, King’s College London, UCL, Queen Mary University of London, University of Exeter, University of Bristol and University of Manchester. The College also celebrated outstanding results in subjects such as Spanish, where 100% of students achieved A*-B grades, and Biology and Chemistry where 75% of students achieved A*-B grades.
Congratulations to Gibril, who achieved A* grades in Biology and Chemistry, and an A grade in Maths, and if off to study Medicine at Imperial College London. We are also thrilled for Anushka, who has gained A* grades in Chemistry and Maths, and an A grade in Physics, which has awarded her a scholarship in Engineering at the University of Bath. Eden has also worked exceptionally hard gaining D*D*D in Engineering BETC Level 3 as well as grades B and C in his A Level subjects.
We also want to praise students who have chosen apprenticeship routes, such as Waleed who begins an apprenticeship in technology analysis, and Harman who is considering an offer from Deutsche Bank.
Co-Headteacher, Mrs C Kane expressed pride in the students' achievements, stating, "This year’s A-Level results are a testament to the resilience and determination of our students, as well as the unwavering support and guidance provided by our teaching staff. We are incredibly proud of what they have accomplished."
The success of this year’s cohort reflects St Joseph’s College’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence. We continue to invest in high-quality teaching and personalised learning plans aimed at ensuring all students achieve their greatest level of progress.
