Hamlet' University Lecture

Year 12 English Literature students recently went on a trip to Surrey University for a lecture on ‘Hamlet', a text they are studying as part of their A-Level coursework. The lecture was given in one of the University's main lecture theatres and was presented by Marion Wynne-Davies, Head of English at The University of Surrey.

The lecture was both informative and useful and it covered key topics that will prove essential for the pupils' coursework.

Although the lecture was aimed at A-Level students, the quality was extremely high and the pupils learnt plenty of new terminology and contextual information. It was also a fantastic experience for the teachers as it brought back pleasant (and in some case, distant) memories of university.

All in all, it was a very successful, enjoyable and valuable trip.
