This year, for the first time, Y10 St Joseph's College students entered the ‘Young Enterprise Company Programme'.

The programme allows entrepreneurial students the opportunity to create and manage a legal company of their own. It is intended to develop students' organisational skills, teamwork skills and to prepare them for the challenges they will face in the workplace when they leave school.

‘SJC Enterprises' elected their board of directors in December; led by their two inspirational Managing Directors James Patterson and Godfrey Bonsu, proceeded to turn a tidy profit by running various tournaments for different year groups.

Well done boys!

Special mention must also go to James Gallagher and Leslie Lumumba for their outstanding contributions over the year...a fantastic effort from you both!

"I have found the 'Young Enterprise Experience' exciting and helpful. I now understand how to work in a team and feel that it has helped prepare me for any job I get after school."
