Physical Education is a very popular subject at St. Joseph’s College through all the Key Stages and as an academic option.
The College is blessed with outstanding facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool, a weights room and indoor climbing wall. In addition there are extensive outdoor facilities, a sportshall and gymnasium. This enables us to offer an incredibly varied curriculum with in excess of 15 different sports being studied. At KS4 we offer GCSE Physical Education while at KS5 students can opt for the BTEC level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Sport. There is an emphasis on personal fitness and training and the opportunities that exist for further education and careers within this discipline.
In 2013, All the students at KS5 achieved a Distinction grade and at KS4 there was a 100% A* - C pass rate.
