The College has a long tradition of teaching languages. All students study French.

All language courses aim at a GCSE qualification, but may also be continued to A Level. These examinations are taken with the London Board.

We intend to ensure that courses are as upto- date and relevant as possible to encourage contact with countries whose languages our students are studying. Trips to France are scheduled every year and exchanges are arranged.

We have a well-equipped suite of language rooms and our courses are fully compatible with National Curriculum requirements. We believe that languages open doors to the outside world, and should be enjoyed as they help students recognise and appreciate other cultures.
