St Joseph’s College was founded by the De La Salle Brothers in 1855 and has been located in a number of sites across London during its history. These sites now give their names to our 6 ‘Houses’ and are at the heart of our house system. The College finally arrived at our current location on Beulah Hill in 1904. This makes St Joseph’s College one of England’s oldest and most established Catholic State Funded Boys Schools. Girls are admitted into our thriving 6th Form. St Joseph’s College in one of the top performing boys’ state schools in the area.
As a College, at our core, we are an unambiguously Christian School, inclusive of people of other faiths. Our Christian dimension permeates and shapes every aspect of school life: tone atmosphere, spirit, signs, symbols, relationships, curriculum, requirements and regulations.
Our policies are centred on our young people, designed to prepare them to take their place in society. We are determined to enable our students to “live life to the fullest” (Jn. 10:10) through a quality human and Christian education.
