St Joseph's College has enhanced learning and teaching by providing pupils the opportunity to work in a cross curricular context developing their understanding in terms of PLTS (Personal, learning and thinking skills) outcomes. The Generation Green Project has enabled pupils to explore a real life global issue of climate change and consider ways of responding in terms of the individual, the local community and taking persuasive action towards lobbying the Environment and Climate Minister, Ed Milliband.

Working in teams our Year 7 pupils have researched into the topic with a lively sense of discovery and considered the evidence through (Maths, Science, Geography, MFL (Spanish and French) and Mandarin. Collating their findings the pupils prepared a visual and oral presentation for an audience of staff and peers. The most successful groups will exhibit their work in an assembly.
