To celebrate the Chinese New Year (New Year Day is 14th February 2010), students are taking part in a number of Chinese activities. All year groups have seen a demonstration of Chinese cultural activities from Fan Dancing to Martial Arts. Over 60 students from St Joseph's Primary School also came along to join in the celebration of Chinese culture.

Students will have the chance to learn how to cook some Chinese dishes during their food technology lessons on Tuesday 9th February. Hopefully the room will not be too messy as they all try to taste their food with chopsticks.
Student have the chance to take part in Tai Chi and Ping Pong lessons on Wednesday during PE lessons as well as learning the ancient art of calligraphy during art lessons.
During Thursday and Friday lunchtime students can go along to G5 and take part in Paper cutting and paper folding sessions with the Mandarin department staff. |
